Tehran, April 13, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for economic affairs of the Netherlands Martin Van den Berg in a meeting with Deputy Economic and Finance Minister Mohammad Khazaei signed Memoranda of Understanding in more than 10 fields here on Wednesday.
In the meeting, the two sides considered the latest situation for economic cooperation.
The Dutch side by referring to the existing investment opportunities and capacities in Iran underlined expansion of bilateral cooperation.
The most important issues in Memoranda of Understanding were ‘energy, financial, banking and insurance cooperation, finalizing economic agreements, cooperation in transportation, including airport and port development, management of agricultural water resources, health and exchanging experiences and data in different fields.
Martin Van den Berg had already met with Head of Trade Promotion Organization Valiollah Afkhamirad on Wednesday.
Trade exchange level between the two countries was 650 million dollars last year (1394), more than 600 million dollars of which was Iranian import and around 40 million dollars of that was Iran’s export to the Netherlands.
