Moroccan authorities have arrested prominent Hezbollah-linked businessman Kassim Tajeddine, who has been blacklisted by the United States, local media reported on Wednesday.

Police of the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca arrested the Lebanese businessman transiting from Conakry, Guinea, to Beirut, Lebanon, said the Moroccan news site Hespress.com, citing a security official.

The same source added that Tajeddine was detained as his name was on the list of people subjected to international arrest warrant.

The Lebanese businessman will be brought to justice to decide whether to extradite him to the United Sates or not, it added.
